In a strategic decision to strengthen its tourism sector, the Republic of Turkey has extended its visa-free entry policy to the citizens of 6 countries: the United States, Canada, Bahrain, Oman, Saudi Arabia, UAE.

Passport holders of these countries now fall under the Turkish visa waiver program. Traveling to Turkey will become much easier for these citizens as they no longer need to obtain an entry permit. Citizens of other countries that doesn’t take part in the Visa Waiver Program can only enter Turkey with a valid visa. They must obtain it in advance online or at an embassy.

This historic change to Turkey's visa policy is an important element of a broader agreement with the European Union. The policy underscores Turkey's commitment to making travel easier and more accessible to international travelers.

Turkey's visa policy changes have far-reaching implications. This significant policy change is also accompanied by the introduction of Turkey's online visa application system. This state-of-the-art e-visa platform allows eligible travelers to apply for a visa electronically, offering a simplified and efficient application process.

Typically, the visa is issued quickly after the application and payment process is completed and then sent to the applicant via email.
