How to get an e-visa to Turkey?

On April 17, 2013, the electronic visa application system (e-Visa) was launched by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Turkey. This system allows you to obtain an e-visa online and facilitates easier visa acquisition for tourists traveling to Turkey.

The e-Visa can be obtained 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, wherever you are, as long as you have an internet connection. To obtain a visa, you need to fill in your identity, passport and travel dates, and pay the visa fee online. The e-visa process takes 15 minutes and will be ready within 24 hours. However, you should note that the e-visa is only valid for tourism or trade. For other purposes, such as work and study, another visa should be chosen.

What are the advantages of an e-visa?

Visa upon arrival at the airport

The processing of a visa to Turkey on arrival depends on a number of factors, including the time of day, the number of travelers and the efficiency of the service providing visa processing services at the airport. As such, the visa process can take anywhere from 30 minutes to 2 hours. Payment for the visa on arrival is made in cash only. Obtaining an e-visa for Turkey is a process that can be done online in just a few minutes. You just need to apply online and the visa application process will take less than 15 minutes. Depending on your nationality, you can get your e-visa in the mail in 24 hours. You can securely pay the consular fee online using a credit or debit card, PayPal, Amazon Pay or Venmo. Once you receive your visa, you can arrive in Turkey and go through immigration control without queuing. The e-visa is available for regular passport holders from more than 50 countries, including the United States, Canada and most European Union countries. In addition, entry into Turkey with an expired passport is available for many EU countries.

How does the e-visa work?

The validity of the e-visa depends on the nationality, as each country has its own regulations. Our company is ready to provide you with all the necessary information about which regulations apply to your country.

The date of entry is the start date of the e-visa. When you submit your application, you must specify the exact date of entry. You can enter the country on any day from the specified date.

If you exceed the visa validity period or stay in Turkey longer than the prescribed period, you should contact the relevant provincial office of the Migration Administration. It is not possible to apply for a new visa while in Turkey. Overstaying your visa may result in a fine and a ban on future entry.

Remember that the dates on your travel document must match the date on your visa. If the dates do not match, the visa will be invalid and you will need to apply for a new visa.

Every member of the family must have an e-visa. If a child has their own passport, they must also have an e-visa.
