Belarus offers electronic visas: convenient entry for travelers from the European Union and beyond

Belarus is taking a decisive step forward by introducing an electronic visa (e-Visa) to simplify the process of obtaining authorization to enter the country. From March 20, 2025, foreign nationals from 67 countries, including the United States, Canada, EU member states, Australia, New Zealand, Japan and the United Kingdom, will be able to apply for a visa online.
Electronic visa to Belarus will be issued for a single entry and will allow staying in the country for up to 30 days. It is issued in an individual format and is suitable for various purposes: whether it is business travel, participation in sports, cultural and scientific events, as well as for tourism and private affairs. It is important to remember that when calculating the period of stay in Belarus, arrival and departure days are counted as full days, which should be taken into account when planning a trip.
The application for an electronic visa should be submitted no later than 7 calendar days before the planned date of entry. The approved e-visa must be printed or digitally saved and presented upon entry into the country. Entry by electronic visa is possible through all international checkpoints, including airports of Minsk, Brest, Homel, Hrodna, Mogilev and Vitebsk, as well as road and railroad checkpoints.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Belarus emphasized that all previously introduced visa-free regimes remain in effect until December 31, 2025.
