Tourist visa is for visiting Laos for tourism and vacation purposes.

There are 3 types of tourist visas in Laos:

Tourist electronic visa (eVisa)- issued online, entitles you to a single entry for up to 30 days.
Visa on Arrival - issued on arrival at Laos airport. There are currently less than 10 nationalities that require a visa on arrival for short-term entry into Laos: Vatican City, Macedonia, Malta, Netherlands, Palestinian Territory, Estonia, South Sudan, and Vatican City.

According to Lao law, citizens of about 80 countries need to obtain a visa from the embassy of this country before traveling to Laos, regardless of the purpose and duration of stay. This applies primarily to citizens of African and Middle Eastern countries.
