Zimbabwe Visa

Zimbabwe, beautiful African country rich in natural attractions and cultural heritage, attracts tourists from all over the world.  Currently, citizens of about 40 countries can enter Zimbabwe without a visa for up to 90 days by simply presenting a valid passport upon arrival at the country's border checkpoints. Do I need a visa to Zimbabwe?

When applying for a visa, you must explain the purpose of your trip and indicate the planned dates of stay, provide the necessary package of documents confirming your purpose of visit. Visa validity period and the number of entries may vary depending on the type of visa and in particular on the nationality of the applicant. For example, travelers from countries such as Canada, the UK, Australia and most EU countries can apply for a visa on arrival at the airport.

You can get a 30-day tourist visa on arrival. You can renew it at any office of the Zimbabwe Department of Immigration (maximum stay is 90 days).

Before traveling, it is advisable to check the current visa requirements and apply for a visa well in advance of your expected date of arrival to avoid possible delays or problems.

Tourist visa

granted to individuals who plan to visit Zimbabwe for tourism purposes. Depending on nationality, it can be an online tourist visa, a tourist visa on arrival or a tourist visa obtained from a Zimbabwean embassy or consulate. It can be issued for a period of 30 days to 3 months and can be extended if necessary. 

e-Visa
e-Visa

The Zimbabwe e-Visa comes in three different types: single entry, double entry and KAZA UNIVISA. Zimbabwe e-visa holders can stay in the country for tourist, business and transit purposes. All the different types of e-visas in Zimbabwe can be issued for entry into the country for a period of 30 days to 3 months from the date of issue.

There is an option for some citizens to obtain a visa on arrival in Zimbabwe at border checkpoints. Visa on arrival is available for tourist and business purposes. The period of stay allowed for a tourist visa is 3 months from the date of entry and for a business visa up to 30 days.

KAZA UNIVISA
KAZA UNIVISA

(Kavango Zambezi Transfrontier Reserve) is a combined visa on arrival type for two countries, Zimbabwe and Zambia. The KAZA visa is granted for single or multiple visits for a specified period of time (usually up to 30 days) and allows travelers to travel between Zimbabwe and Zambia for tourism purposes. KAZA UNIVISA can be issued at Zimbabwe border checkpoints, Victoria Falls and Harare international airports.

Consular visa
Consular or embassy visa

denotes that the visa is processed through the Zimbabwean diplomatic mission in your country. Regardless of the length of stay or motives for travel, citizens of some 45 countries, must first obtain an approved visa from an embassy.  Visa options that can be issued to a traveler include: tourist visa, business visa, transit visa, student visa, work visa, resident visa or other type of visa.

To apply for a visa to Zimbabwe applicants need to provide:

Valid passport

with at least 6 months of validity remaining and at least two blank pages

A completed visa application form

Two 3.5 x 4.5 cm color photographs

Payment of visa fee

it must be paid in local currency or in US dollars, depending on the requirements

Proof of financial solvency

(bank statement, credit cards, etc.)

Booking Confirmation

hotel or hostel, as well as round-trip airline tickets

When entering Zimbabwe, you may be required to fill out a business card or provide information about your planned stay.
