The e-visa was introduced by the Government of Rwanda on January 1, 2018. The first point of entry with the East Africa visa must be Kenya. The visa will only be valid in these three countries and will expire if you leave the Kenya, Rwanda and Uganda region.

Do I need a transit visa to Rwanda if I am traveling through that country?
You will not need a transit visa to stay in an airport transit zone if you are not leaving the airport.
