Starting May 26, 2025, Saint Kitts and Nevis is introducing a new electronic travel authorization (eTA) system for all foreign nationals eligible for visa-free entry into the country. This initiative aims to simplify the border crossing process, reduce waiting times, and improve the efficiency of tourist flow control.

Key points:

What is an eTA? It is not a visa, but a travel authorization valid for 90 days or until the expiry of your passport, whichever comes first.

How to apply? Applications can be submitted three months before your trip, but it is recommended to do so at least two weeks before your planned departure. For children under 18, applications must be submitted by their legal guardians or accompanying adults.

Who is exempt from eTA? Residents and citizens of Saint Kitts and Nevis and citizens of OECS countries are not required to obtain an eTA. Transit passengers who do not leave the airport also do not need this authorization.

Important: Once your application has been approved, you will need to present your eTA upon request by airport or immigration officials. It is recommended that you save the PDF document on your mobile device or print it out for convenience.

The introduction of the eTA system makes traveling to Saint Kitts and Nevis more comfortable and secure for all tourists.
