Cancellation of medical certification (Covid-19) when applying for an electronic visa (e-Visa) to PNG
The PNG Government hopes that this change in medical requirements will encourage tourism and foreign investment. This strategic decision reflects the Government's desire to develop the economy and provide a favorable environment for entrepreneurs and investors. Papua New Guinea is open to successful cooperation and invites foreign nationals to take advantage of the new opportunities.
Until February 13, Papua's immigration authorities continued to ask foreign visitors applying for an electronic visa (e-visa) to provide medical documentation - a negative test, vaccination certificate or medical certificate.
However, as of February 14, 2024, this requirement has finally been removed.
Head of the Migration Service Wellington Nawasivu publicly announced that from February 14, 2024, the covid-19 medical document is no longer mandatory when applying for a visa.
