Visa for Kuwait
Do I need a visa for Kuwait?
Kuwait has a strict visa policy that defines all requirements, rules and regulations for foreign nationals wishing to visit the country. Almost all citizens, regardless of nationality, require a visa to enter Kuwait. According to Kuwait's visa policy, you may have the option of obtaining an e-visa or a visa on arrival, depending on your nationality, purpose and duration of your trip.
How do I get a visa to Kuwait?
Kuwait's visa policy offers electronic visa applications to approximately 170 countries around the world. After completing a quick online application, the application is emailed to the applicant. About 65 other countries cannot receive an e-visa and must apply for a visa in person at the Kuwaiti government's diplomatic mission in their country before departure. Kuwait also allows citizens of some countries to apply for a visa on arrival at border crossing checkpoints. However, this often involves a long wait in the immigration queue. Therefore, we recommend that you apply for an e-visa on our website to speed up your travel preparations. For a list of countries to which e-visa is available, please see the e-visa page.
