Electronic diplomatic visa (VD)

The Guinea diplomatic visa is intended for foreign diplomatic representatives, official delegations and government officials who plan to visit Guinea as part of their official duties and to establish diplomatic ties with the State.

Citizens of a number of countries may enter Guinea without a visa on valid diplomatic passports. This applies to diplomats from states such as Zimbabwe, South Africa, China, Russia, Romania and Zimbabwe. Also, visa-free travel for up to 90 days applies to diplomats from Turkey.

Most of the other countries whose nationals are eligible for visa-free entry to Guinea are members of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS). This relaxed visa regime applies to nationals of the 15 ECOWAS member countries.

Thus, citizens of a number of states on diplomatic passports, as well as ECOWAS countries, are granted simplified visa-free entry to Guinea for up to 90 days.

The process of applying for a diplomatic visa (VD) is the responsibility of the consular officer responsible for issuing visas of this category. To obtain a diplomatic visa, the following documents must be submitted:

A diplomatic visa is processed and issued with a note verbale from the host country and confirms the status of the entrant as a diplomat or official.

We guarantee that your e-visa application will be processed by the competent Guinean authorities within 3 working days of submission. If the visa is not approved, we will notify you via the e-mail address provided in the application. Please note that additional documents may be required during the review process.

Upon arrival at Conakry Airport, you must proceed to the visa application area with your printed e-visa approval receipt. This will be required for biometric registration - taking a photo and fingerprints. This data will be immediately transmitted to the relevant Guinean State authorities.
