How do I get a Cambodia visa?

There are several types of visas to Cambodia, including the electronic visa (eVisa). The Cambodia eVisa can be applied for online through our service and allows the holder to stay in the country for up to 30 days as a tourist only. It is available to visitors from about 220 different countries.

Types of visas to Cambodia

Tourist visa (type T)

Business Visa (Type E)

Entitles you to enter Cambodia for business purposes, but then while in Cambodia you can extend it depending on the purpose of travel: business, retirement (can be extended up to 1 year), study, work.

Cambodian Business Visa (EB)

Intended for business travelers and those who intend to work in Cambodia for an extended period of time. This type of visa can be extended up to one year.

Retirement Visa (ER)

Granted to foreign nationals over 55 years of age who are retired and able to support themselves financially. This visa can also be extended for up to one year.

Student Visa (ES)

Intended for international students enrolled in Cambodian educational institutions. The validity of this visa can also be extended up to one year.

Job Search Visa (EG)

Granted to foreign nationals who come to Cambodia to seek employment. This type of visa can be extended for up to six months.

Visa on arrival*

Some citizens are not eligible for an e-visa and can instead apply for a visa on arrival, but this may require waiting in line at the border.

Consular visa**

Citizens of less than 10 countries must apply for a consular visa at a Cambodian embassy abroad, even for short-term tourism trips.
