E-visa for Benin

As of April 23, 2018, any foreigner wishing to visit the Republic of Benin can apply for an e-visa online. Meanwhile, African nationals can visit Benin without a visa for 90 days. We recommend applying for an e-visa to Benin online at least 7 days before the date of entry into Benin. However, the application can be submitted no more than 90 days before the date of entry into Benin.

If you make a mistake during the application process, the visa is invalid and cannot be changed. In this case, you will need to send and pay for the application again. Citizens of most countries in the world require an electronic visa to visit the Republic of Benin. African nationals can enter Benin without a visa for up to 90 days, while nationals of all other countries must apply online for a visa.

The electronic visa must be printed out. The printed e-visa must be presented together with the passport at the checkpoint.

The validity of the electronic visa to Benin can be extended. To do so, contact the office of emigration and immigration to renew it.
