Benin visa

In order to enter the country, you will need to apply for a visa before you leave. Benin authorities no longer paste visas in your passport, as of April 23, 2018, a new system for obtaining an electronic visa (e-Visa) is in place. It can be obtained directly through the country's embassy service or through a visa agency. Visas are not issued upon arrival at the airport or at any land or sea checkpoint. Benin offers e-visa for tourist, business and transit travel. You can apply for an e-visa online on our website at least 8 (but not earlier than 90) days prior to travel. When applying for a long term visa, apply for a Benin visa at least 15 before your planned departure date. The cost of the visa depends on the length of stay.

As of 2019, all tourists entering Benin must receive the yellow fever vaccine and present a World Health Organization yellow card confirming that the vaccine has been administered.

Your passport must be valid for 6 months after your return date and have at least three blank pages.
