Welcome to the United States! If you are planning to visit this unique country, you need to have an ESTA e-visa. This is a very fast and convenient way to get electronic authorisation to enter the country.

ESTA travel authorization for travel to the United States

The U.S. E visa is called ESTA and is an automated system that determines the eligibility of citizens to travel to the United States under the Visa Waiver Program (VWP). All citizens from countries participating in the VWP are required to visit the United States, Puerto Rico, or the U.S. Virgin Islands for up to 90 days.

Visitors to the U.S. traveling on valid visas do not need to apply for ESTA authorization.

ESTA stands for Electronic System for Travel Authorization. This online application system was introduced by the U.S. government in 2009 to facilitate the process of applying for visa-free entry into the U.S. for tourism, business, or transit through the country to another location.

The ESTA visa is valid for citizens of 40 nationalities who participate in the U.S. Visa Waiver Program.

Regardless of age, accompanied and unaccompanied children must also obtain ESTA authorization. This is authorization for multiple entries into the United States and is mandatory for everyone. If you are an ESTA holder, you can travel to the United States multiple times within two years from the date of issuance or until your passport expires.

An ESTA renewal is required if: (1) the traveler has obtained a new passport; (2) the traveler has changed his or her name; (3) the traveler has changed his or her gender; (4) the traveler has changed his or her country of citizenship; or (5) the circumstances underlying the traveler's previous answers to any of the ESTA application questions requiring a "yes" or "no" answer have changed.

Previously, ESTA authorization was not required to enter the U.S. by land, but it is now a mandatory requirement. Visa-exempt passport holders must have a valid evisa ESTA to enter the US.

The ESTA authorizes you to stay in the US for up to 90 days. If you plan to travel to the U.S. for a longer period, or for a purpose other than business or tourism, you will need to obtain the appropriate visa. Depending on the purpose of your stay, this may be a work, student, or other visa. All visa applications should be made by making an appointment at a U.S. embassy, consulate, or other U.S. diplomatic facility. Below is a list of nationalities that can apply for an ESTA in the United States.
