South Africa visa

South Africa is one of the most developed countries in Africa, attracting the attention of many foreign nationals who come here for tourism, business, education, retirement or medical treatment.

Foreign nationals must obtain the appropriate visa to enter South Africa, but some foreign nationals are allowed to enter South Africa without a visa.

If a foreign national is planning a trip to South Africa and needs a visa, they need to apply in person at the nearest embassy or consulate, apply online, or contact our Visa-Navigator.com visa center in Germany.

South Africa visas are not issued at ports of entry, and travelers without the proper visa will not be allowed into the country and will be sent back to their country of origin.

Do you need a visa to South Africa?

Most countries have visa-free travel agreements with South Africa. The agreement allows citizens of some countries to visit South Africa without a visa. These countries include some European countries, including Germany, as well as other regions. Foreign nationals are allowed to stay in the country without a visa for 30 to 90 days. Those who are not allowed visa-free entry must obtain a visa in advance.

There are two ways to get a visa to South Africa:

Apply for an e-visa online.

The e-visa is designed for travelers who wish to visit South Africa for a short period of time for business or tourist purposes. An eVisa can be a single entry visa or a multiple entry visa. The eVisa is valid for stays of up to 90 days per entry. Currently, the eVisa is only available to citizens of certain countries, but in the future it will be available to more nationalities. This will simplify the South Africa visa application process for more travelers.

Apply for the visa at the nearest South African embassy or consulate.

The service of applying for this visa is for those who are unable to obtain an e-visa or need a visa for a longer period of time or for other long-term purposes such as work or study. The duration of the visa will depend on the type of visa requested.
