It is important to distinguish between a business visa and a work visa. For those who intend to take up employment in Saudi Arabia, it is necessary to obtain a work visa before travelling. If your business visa states 'prohibited to work', this means that you are not authorised to undertake work for a Saudi company and be paid for it. Violation of this requirement may result in detention, deportation, monetary fines and a ban on re-entry to the Kingdom.
