The Cook Islands authorities are introducing an electronic visa application system that will be operational by mid-September 2024. This innovation is aimed at simplifying applications for tourists and other visitors who require a visa to enter the islands. The platform will allow the paperwork to be processed online, making the visa application process faster and more convenient for foreign nationals.

Cook Islands Immigration is currently conducting internal testing of the system and plans to launch the online application system by mid-September.

One of the key advantages of the system will be the ability of applicants to track their applications in real time through a special dashboard.

Recall that today tourists arriving in the Cook Islands for 31 days do not require a visa, regardless of citizenship. But for longer stays or other purposes of visiting the islands requires pre-registration of a visa. The new e-visa system will greatly simplify visa procedures for anyone wishing to visit the Cook Islands.
