Israel introduces electronic travel authorization: what does it mean for tourists?

Israel is implementing a new ETA-IL electronic entry permit system as of June this year, this introduces new conditions for visitors from visa-free countries. In other words, you will now need to obtain an ETA-IL before traveling to Israel.

The validity of this permit lasts for 2 years after its issuance and allows you to stay in Israel for up to 3 months.
