Antigua and Barbuda: digital arrival card for travelers introduced

Fort James Beach, Antigua and Barbuda

Antigua and Barbuda in early April 2025 announced the launch of a new electronic arrival system that will significantly reduce the waiting time for travelers at airport customs checkpoints. The system, will make it faster and more convenient for travelers to be cleared upon arrival on the islands.

Now, instead of filling out a traditional paper customs form, all foreign nationals are required to provide their data in advance (72 hours prior to departure), such as flight information, home address, purpose of visit and place of residence on the islands. After entering all the required data on the official portal, they will be asked standard questions regarding customs regulations.

Upon completion of the registration, travelers will receive a QR code to their e-mail, which will have to be presented at the customs upon arrival and departure. This innovation will significantly simplify the process and will make it more comfortable.

At the moment the new electronic system is available only for commercial air passengers, but in the future it is planned to expand its functionality for those who arrive through seaports and on private planes.
