Business visa to Namibia

It is advisable to obtain a business visa in advance of traveling to Namibia. Although according to Namibian government regulations, citizens of many countries can stay without a visa for up to 90 days, this rule applies only to tourist travel. If you indicate a business or work purpose on your visa-free entry documents, you may not be allowed to enter the country due to a lack of conformity of purpose.

Work and business visas are offered to foreigners or non-citizens if they are employed by a Namibian company or organization or perform unpaid volunteer work. The process of obtaining a work and business visa usually takes up to five weeks. According to Namibia's visa policy, an applicant for a business or work visa must also pay an initial deposit. The company or volunteer organization inviting the foreign worker assists in the process of applying for a work or business visa. In addition, the company or organization provides temporary housing for work purposes.

A work or business visa is mandatory for employees coming to Namibia for work or business purposes. Even if the plan is to attend a business meeting or conference for only a few days, a business visa is still required.

If you are traveling with your spouse, a marriage certificate is also required. If you are traveling with children, a birth certificate for each child is required. All family members must have visas if necessary.
