Do I need a visa to Morocco?

Travelers from many countries can visit Morocco without a visa for up to 90 days. Citizens of Australia, New Zealand, USA, UK, EU and Canada, among many others, can enter Morocco without a visa if they have a passport, usually valid for six months, and a return or extended flight ticket (with appropriate documentation). However, some of these countries that do not require a visa must obtain an electronic authorization (AEVM). These countries include Congo, Guinea, and Mali.

If you need a visa, you can apply for a visa electronically or through the nearest Moroccan embassy/consulate/visa center. However, whether you need a visa or not, make sure your passport is stamped when you enter Morocco to avoid problems when you leave the country if your passport does not have an entry stamp.

How to apply for a visa to Morocco in 2024?

If you plan to apply for a long-term visa or obtain a residence permit, several documents need to be legalized. These include civil status documents, academic qualifications and diplomas, criminal record certificates and even your passport.

You can legalize documents using an apostille if you are from a country that is part of the Apostille Convention, or by contacting a Moroccan consulate or embassy.

In addition, you will most likely have to translate several documents into Arabic, English or French. Please contact the Moroccan embassy/consulate for more information on language requirements. Alternatively, you can contact us and we will advise you on how to get a visa to Morocco and help you complete the necessary documents. To find out how much a visa to Morocco costs, send us an application form online.

Whether you need a visa or not, don't forget to get an entry stamp in your passport when you arrive in Morocco. Otherwise, you may have difficulties leaving the country.
