Visa for Azerbaijan

Visa is an official document that entitles foreign citizens and stateless persons to enter and leave the Republic of Azerbaijan through the state border checkpoints in accordance with the established rules, as well as to temporarily stay in the territory of the country for a certain period of time specified in the visa.

Foreign citizens and stateless persons need an entry or transit visa to visit Azerbaijan. Entry visas are single-entry and multiple-entry, while transit visas are single-entry and double-entry.

A single entry visa is valid for up to 90 days and allows a foreigner or stateless person to enter the country only once and leave it also once during the specified period.

A multiple-entry visa is valid for up to 2 years and allows a foreigner or stateless person to enter and leave the country multiple times during the relevant period.

Single entry and double entry transit visas are visas issued to foreign citizens and stateless persons traveling to third countries through the territory of the Republic of Azerbaijan. The validity period of these types of visas is up to 30 days.

Foreign citizens and stateless persons have the opportunity to stay in the territory of the country for the purpose and period of time specified in the visa. The period of stay in the country specified in the visa is valid during the validity period of the visa. If the visa is not used during this period, it is considered invalid.

Foreigners or stateless persons temporarily staying in the Republic of Azerbaijan for more than 15 days must be registered at their place of residence. For citizens of the Republic of Kazakhstan this period is 30 days. Registration is required even if you have an electronic visa.

Citizens of the State of Qatar wishing to enter the territory of the Republic of Azerbaijan for training or work must obtain a visa in advance in accordance with the national legislation of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

The entry visa is divided into diplomatic, official and ordinary categories.
