Tajikistan opens visa-free regime for citizens of 25 countries

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan has published a list of countries for whose citizens a unilateral visa-free regime is introduced for up to 30 days of stay.

According to the published list of countries, among them are the following

Andorra
Bahamas
Bosnia and Herzegovina
Brazil
Bulgaria
Costa Rica
Cyprus
Ireland
Malta
Marshall Islands
Mexico
Mongolia
Montenegro
Oman
Romania
Saint Kitts and Nevis
Saint Lucia
San Marino
Serbia
Slovakia
Slovenia
Solomon Islands
St. Vincent and the Grenadines
Vatican City

For Palestinian citizens, it is noted that this simplification applies to persons with service and diplomatic passports.

In addition, the government also approved a list of 16 states, whose citizens who have reached the age of 55 will now be able to use visa-free regime to visit Tajikistan. This regime allows them to stay in the country for up to two weeks without the need for a visa. This list includes citizens of the following countries:

Albania
Algeria
Barbados
China
Dominica
Fiji
Laos
Lebanon
Madagascar
Morocco
Nicaragua
Northern Macedonia
Panama
Tunisia
Vanuatu
Vietnam

The report notes that citizens of the above countries entering Tajikistan for study, work, permanent residence or other purposes, except tourism, for a period longer than the authorized visa-free period, must pre-issue the appropriate visa.

In 2022 Tajikistan introduced visa-free regime for citizens of 52 states. The duration of stay of citizens on the territory of Tajikistan depends on citizenship. In addition, 14 more countries were added to the list of countries whose citizens can obtain visas in a simplified procedure.
